A tropical cyclone WARNING is in force from Cardwell to St Lawrence including Townsville, Mackay, and the Whitsunday Islands, and inland including Charters Towers, Pentland, Moranbah and Mount Coolon.
 
BOM advises that the storm is expected to make landfall between Ayr and Midge Point within the next six hours
