Debbie has made landfall and is weakening rapidly. The system is expected to dissipate later today, although heavy rains will continue inland in Queensland.

A tropical cyclone WARNING is in force from Ayr to St Lawrence, including Mackay, and the Whitsunday Islands, extending inland to Charters Towers, Mount Coolon, Moranbah, and Pentland.
