Location 139 miles WSW of Port Vila, Vanuatu

Donna is curving round onto a southeasterly course whilst weakening. The storm is now approaching New Caledonia from the north, passing east of the territory whilst weakening. Donna will become extra-tropical after about two days.

Cyclonic alert level 2 is in force for the provinces Nord (in particular the following communities on the east coast: Hienghène, Touho, Poindimié, Ponérihouen, Houaïlou, Kouaoua et Canala), as well as Ouvéa and Lifou, with alert level 1 in force on the west coast communities of the Sud province: Mont-Dore, Nouméa, Dumbéa, Païta, Boulouparis, La Foa, Sarraméa, Farino, Moindou et Bourail, as well as for the Île des Pins. Alerts elsewhere are CANCELLED.
