Merbok is moving northnorthwest towards mainland China. The storm will track overland and veer east. The storm will peak at 40 knots before landfall, and is expected to restrengthen to 35 knots before dissipating over water east of China.

03E has formed and will move north northwest towards the coast of Mexico. The system will intensify to 40 knots before landfall.

Mexican warnings
A tropical storm WARNING is in force from Boca de Pijijiacan to Punta Maldonado.
Rainfall totals of 5 to 10 inches, locally up to 20 inches, are possible over southern Guatemala and the Mexican states of Chiapas, Oaxaca and Guerrero. Life-threaening flash floods and mudslides are possible.
