Potential Tropical Cyclone 02L
Warning 03 from NHC at 0900 GMT
Position 8.4N 54.5W
Location 550 miles ESE of Grenada
Movement 280° (W) at 20 knots
Maximum sustained winds 35 knots gusting to 45 knots
Winds of 34 knots or higher occur within 60 miles to the northwest through northeast of the centre
Minimum central pressure: 1005 mbar
Threatened landmasses Windward Islands, ABC Islands, Venezuela, Colombia
Next warning from NHC at 1200 GMT

The disturbance is headed rapidly west towards the southern Windward Islands and northern South America. The system will intensify to 45 knots, before dissipate off the coast of Colombia.

A tropical storm WARNING is in force for Barbados, St. Vincent and the Grenadines, Trinidad, Tobago and Grenada

Rainfall totals of 2 to 4 inches can be expected over the Windward Islands.
