06L has formed in the eastern Gulf of Mexico and will move east, across the Florida peninsula. Once in the Atlantic, the system will veer northeast and dissipate.

Regional warnings
A tropical storm watch is in force for the west coast of Florida from the Anclote River south to Englewood.
Rainfall totals of 2 to 4 inches, locally up to 8 inches, along the west coast of Florida from Tampa Bay to Naples. Elsewhere in Florida, 1 to 2, locally up to 4 inches, are to be expected.
