Rainfall totals of 4 to 8, locally up to 15, inches are expected over the Mexican states of northern Veracruz, Puebla,
Tlaxacala, eastern Guanajuato, Hidalgo, Queretaro and eastern San Luis Potosi. These rains could give rise to potentially life-threatening flash floods and mudslides
The storm surge in the tropical storm warning area will subside today.
