Maximum sustained winds 45 knots gusting to 55 knots
Winds of 34 knots or higher occur within 145 to 210 miles of the centre

Eliakim formed earlier today and is moving southwest whilst intensifying to 60 knots. The storm will make landfall in northeastern Madagascar before turning southeast. Eliakim is expected to weaken and become extra-tropical.
