Location 349 miles NW of Port Louis, Mauritius
Movement 245° (WSW) at 14 knots
Maximum sustained winds 50 knots gusting to 65 knots
Winds of 34 knots or higher occur within 90 to 160 miles of the centre

Eliakim is moving southwest whilst intensifying to 55 knots. The storm will make landfall in northeastern Madagascar before turning southeast. Eliakim will weaken over Madagascar, possibly dissipating there. Else, the storm will turn southeast, reemerge over water and become extra-tropical.

15S has formed off northern Australia and will move southwest, gradually veering west. The system will skirt the northwestern coast of Australia before moving into the southern Indian Ocean and intensify to at least 80 knots after 5 days.
