Eliakim is quasi-stationary just inland over Madagascar. The storm will veer south and reemerge over water, restrengthen and become extra-tropical.

Marcus will move westsouthwest, gradually veering west. The system will skirt the northwestern coast of Australia before moving into the southern Indian Ocean and intensify to at least 125 knots after 5 days. By that time, the cyclone will start to veer towards the south.
