Mekunu will make landfall near Salalah, Oman within the next few hours, and is expected to dissipate inland.

Alberto has formed off the Yucatan peninsula, and will move into the Gulf of Mexico. After making landfall, the system will proceed to dump large amounts of rain over the southeastern USA.

Regional warnings
A tropical storm watch is in force from Tulum to Cabo Catoche, Mexico, and for the Cuban province of Pinar del Rio
Rainfall totals of 10 to 15 inches, locally up to 25 inches, are expected over northeastern Yucatan peninsula and western Cuba. Life-threatening mudslides and flash floods are to be expected. The Florida Keys and southern and southwestern Florida can expect 4 to 8, locally up to 12 inches.
