Location 115 miles SSE of Cabo San Lucas, Mexico
Movement 345° (NNW) at 6 knots
Maximum sustained winds 40 knots gusting to 50 knots
Winds of 34 knots or higher occur within 80 miles of the centre

Bud is moving northnorthwest and is weakening. The system will make landfall over southern Baja California, and will dissipate over northwestern Mexico. 

Regional warnings
A tropical storm WARNING is in force from Santa Fe to La Paz, including Cabo San Lucas
Rainfall totals of 2 to 4 inches, locally up to 6 inches, can be expected in Baja California Sur and southern Sonora in northwestern Mexico. Sinaloa and Durango could see 1 to 2 inches, locally up to 3 inches, causing life-threatening flash floods and mud slides.
The coast of southwestern Mexico, western Mexico and southern Baja California will be affected by life-threatening surf and rip current conditions.
