Chris is rapidly moving northeast and is beginning to become extra-tropical. The system will pass just south of Newfoundland and cross the Atlantic.

Rainfall totals of 1 to 3, locally up to 6, inches can be expected over Newfoundland. This could lead to flash flooding.
