JTWC have retrospectively upgraded the southern Indian Ocean disturbance 97S (which was listed in ABIO10 significant tropical weather advisories between 9th and 11th January 2025) to tropical cyclone status. It would have carried the designation 09S. The exact time-span when it existed as a tropical cyclone has not (yet) been made clear.
